[ic] Do not decode instructions to detect deoptimized code. · 0d8ec36b
      Pierre Langlois authored
This fixes a crash when using --trace-ic on Arm64 debug. For a given return
address, the assembler's `target_address_from_return_address()` method will
displace it to give you the call-site address. However, this is fragile because
it needs to decode the instruction stream to distinguish between different call
sequences. So it triggered an assertion on Arm64 because we now use BL for
      builtin to buitin calls.

We only use this when tracing IC states to detect if the caller is a deoptimized
function. But to do this it doesn't matter if the address we have is the return
or the call-site address. So we can just remove the need for the fragile
      Assembler method.

As a drive-by, also remove `return_address_from_call_start()` which was doing
      the opposite and was unused.

[assembler] Allow to pass custom buffer implementations · 1a3aab51
      Clemens Hammacher authored
When generating an Assembler, you currently have two choices: Either
let the Assembler allocate a growable internal buffer, which is owned
by the Assembler. Or provide an externally allocated buffer, which
      cannot grow.
This CL changes this interface to allow providing any implementation of
a buffer. The provided buffer can be a view to an externally owned
      buffer, which still can grow.
This will be used to split WebAssembly compilation and code submission.
The buffer needs to be able to grow, but cannot be owned by the
Assembler because it has to survive until the code is submitted.

Print readable register names · de2681c1
      Clemens Hammacher authored
This adds a {PrintRegister} method which prints the given register in a
      readable way (e.g. "eax", ... on ia32).
      This is currently only used in Liftoff. The {RegisterConfiguration}
class has the same functionality, and I plan to make
{RegisterConfiguration} also use the new {RegisterName} functions in a
      follow-up CL.

      >This CL uses pc-relative jumps and calls (B/BL) for calls from embedded

      >we resolve to the right code object when the code is copied to the heap.
      >We use a new relocation mode RELATIVE_CODE_TARGET for these relative jumps.
      >The relocation mode RELATIVE_CODE_TARGET should never appear after

      >We modify the target_address/set_target_address methods of RelocInfo
