This CL implements the upcoming spec change: https://github.com/tc39/proposal-regexp-match-indices/pull/49 A new JSRegExpResultWithIndices subclass is introduced with a separate map and an extra slot for storing the indices. If /d is passed, exec() constructs a JSRegExpResultWithIndices and eagerly builds indices. The existing re-execution logic is removed. This commit adds the 'l' (linear) RegExp flag (as in e.g. /asdf|123/l) that forces execution in linear time. These regexps are handled by the experimental engine. If the experimental engine cannot handle the pattern, an exception is thrown on creation of the regexp. The commit also adds a new global V8 flag and changes an existing one: * --enable-experimental-engine, which turns on recognition of the RegExp 'l' flag. Previously this flag also caused all supported regexps to be executed by the experimental engine; this is not the case anymore. * --default-to-experimental-regexp-engine takes over the previous semantics of --enable-experimental-regexp-engine: We execute all supported regexps with the experimental engine. This introduces a new type Slot<ContextType, SlotType> that is used for enum values used to access context slots. Together with new types for the various custom contexts used in Torque, this results in fairly type-safe access to context slots, including the NativeContext's slots. Drive-by changes: - Introduce a new header file to specify headers needed for generated CSA headers, to reduce the amount of includes specified in implementation-visitor.cc - Port AllocateSyntheticFunctionContext to Torque. This CL implements enums in Torque in three steps: 1.) It implements necessary changes to Torque's type system. In particular, the constraints on constexpr types are relaxed such that constexpr types can exist without a corresponding non-constexpr version. Furthermore, constexpr and their non-constexpr counterpart need not be of the same kind of type. This allows an AbstractType to have a UnionType as its non-constexpr counterpart. 2.) The enum feature itself is realized as a pure desugaring in the parser, where all required types, constants and macro specializations (like FromConstexpr<>) are generated from a simple enum declaration, such that enum entries are not just constants, but are namespace scoped and have distinct types so that they can be used within typeswitch constructs. 3.) Almost all of the existing constants defined in torque (.tq files) are ported to new enum definitions. Now that we can short-circuit control flow in the optimizing compiler, there is no more need for BranchIf... macros in CSA/Torque. Thus removing support for them in Torque and rewriting Torque macros to use bool return values instead. Prior to this CL, the regexp fast path check is stricter than it needs to be. For example, adding any arbitrary property on the regexp prototype would move the execution of all regexp builtins in the same context onto the slow path. This actually happens in the real world: popular web frameworks commonly monkey-patch builtin prototypes to add functionality. The intent of this CL is to widen the fast path for regexp builtins s.t. modifications of the prototype that do not conflict with our requirements stay on the fast path. This is done by extending the current fast path check with an additional step. If checking the prototype map identity or relevant prototype property constness fails, we now compare the actual value of all relevant properties against the expected value. If these match, the prototype can be considered fast. The new step as described in the previous paragraph is part of the permissive fast path check (BranchIfFastRegExp_Permissive). The strict variant (BranchIfFastRegExp_Strict) is also still required by a few spots. We should refactor these to also allow the permissive check in follow-up work.
