Replace all CONVERT_XXX_ARG_XXX() macros from runtime-util.h with direct calls to Arguments or the fully expanded equivalent. - This replaces many of the hard CHECKs with DCHECK (as is common practice in most V8 code) - Instead of relying on verbose comments we now have readable code - Rename Arguments.::xxx_at with Arguments::xxx_value_at since these methods don't return the Object but rather their double/int value - Add Oddball::ToBool helper - Add and use v8::internal::PropertyAttributesFromInt helper - Add stronger DCHECK for PropertyAttributes returned in GetPropertyAttributesWithInterceptorInternal Bug: v8:11263 Change-Id: I8d531857e05d19f3198753b05af28d993a391854 Reviewed-on: https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/v8/v8/+/3497768Reviewed-by:

Register printing under --trace-ignition used register operands to decide which register to print. But, for short Star bytecodes (Star1, Star2, etc) the register is implicit in the bytecode. Move the CompileWithBaseline interface to the Compiler class, as CompileBaseline, which will do the additional work of pre-compiling to bytecode, ensuring there is a feedback vector, and setting the code on the function closure. As a drive-by, fix v8_enable_trace_unoptimized to have a blank default value, so that v8_enable_trace_ignition/v8_enable_trace_baseline_exec can set it. Change the interpreter tracing functions to be generic unoptimized code tracing functions. The type of the code is now inferred from the frame, rather than passed in. Also expands the set of gn flags to explicitly enable unoptimized tracing, with a helper gn flags for enabling it for Ignition and for baseline (both just set unoptimized tracing to be enabled for now, we could split this up in the future though), and V8 flags separate tracing Ignition and tracing baseline. Currently we sometimes refer to baseline code or the baseline compiler by its codename (Sparkplug). The codename is fun, but we should be consistent and call things by one name or the other. Following the pattern of Ignition stuff being called "interpreter", we call Sparkplug "baseline", and leave the codename only in flags and variants. Cpplint usually checks for non-const reference arguments. They are forbidden in the style guide, and v8 does not explicitly make an exception here. This CL re-enables that warning, and fixes all current violations by adding an explicit "NOLINT(runtime/references)" comment. In follow-up CLs, we should aim to remove as many of them as possible. This is preparatory cleanup work for eventually tracking the functions (rather than concrete closures) in the CALL_IC, also for builtins like the default PromiseCapability [[Resolve]] and [[Reject]] functions. It adds a new FeedbackCell type, which is used by JSFunctions consistently now to reference the feedback vector (or undefined if not the function is not compiled yet or is a native/asm.js function). This also changes the calling convention for FastNewClosure builtin and the JSCreateClosure operator in TurboFan to carry the FeedbackCell here instead of the parent FeedbackVector and the slot index. In addition we eliminate the now unused %InterpreterNewClosure runtime function. Speculative revert due to canary crashes. I'll begin relanding these one-by-one next week. This bundles two reverts: Revert "[snapshot] Lazy-deserialize bytecode handlers" This reverts commit b4587369. Revert "[interpreter] Remove mechanism for bytecode handler reuse" This reverts commit 07fc87a2. This change adapts the Call bytecode handlers such that they don't require a stack frame. It does this by modifying the call bytecode handler to tail-call the Call or InterpreterPushArgsAndCall builtins. As a result, the callee function will return to the InterpreterEntryTrampoline when it returns (since this is the return address on the interpreter frame), which is adapted to dispatch to the next bytecode handler. The return bytecode handler is modified to tail-call a new InterpreterExitTramoline instead of returning to the InterpreterEntryTrampoline. Overall this significanlty reduces the amount of stack space required for interpreter frames, increasing the maximum depth of recursive calls from around 6000 to around 12,500 on x64. Since frames.h no longer defines basic register types like RegList, it is no longer necessary to include it in the macro assemblers. Next step: split out frame-constants.h from frames.h so that it will be possible to get frame constants without include the stackwalking logic, which needs objects.h. There remained a few of regressions and we didn't see any significant improvement in the real world with this turned on. This CL reverts all the StringConcat bytecode work which landed.
