      Define symbols properly · a52b9cd8
      Clemens Hammacher authored
      The problem popped up when passing the constants by reference
      (https://chromium-review.googlesource.com/c/565141).
      It's a bit ugly, but, the C++11 standard requires a definition
      additionally to the existing declaration in the body of the class:

      9.4.2/4: If a static data member is of const literal type, its
        declaration in the class definition can specify a
        brace-or-equal-initializer in which every initializer-clause that is
        an assignment-expression is a constant expression. A static data
        member of literal type can be declared in the class definition with
        the constexpr specifier; if so, its declaration shall specify a
        brace-or-equal-initializer in which every initializer-clause that i
        an assignment-expression is a constant expression. [Note: In both
        these cases, the member may appear in constant expressions. — end
        note] The member shall still be defined in a namespace scope if it is
        odr-used (3.2) in the program and the namespace scope definition shall
        not contain an initializer.

      Drive-by: Make the static constants constexpr.

      Add StartProfiling to filter out v8 warm up · 93557496
      bgirard authored
      v8.cpu_profiler has a long and variable warm up period. If you look in
      tracing that time shows up under V8.Execute which is very misleading. By
      adding a tracing category for the time spent in
      CpuProfiler::StartProfiling the warm up time can be easily identified or
      even filtered out.

      With this tracing event the block in StartProfiling correctly described
      the time spent prepare v8.cpu_profiler out from V8.Execute

      Test by collecting a trace with V8.Execute and look at when a trace
      starts generating v8 samples.

      [parser] Introduce SharedFunctionInfo::has_shared_name(). · 9a2c18f5
      Igor Sheludko authored
      Properly propagate the fact that the function has a statically known name from
      parser to SharedFunctionInfo objects. The empty string that has been set as
      name before this CL does not help to distinguish cases like:
        var o1 = { ''(){} };
        var o1 = { [foo()](){} };
      or
        var o2 = { get ''(){} };
        var o2 = { get [foo()](){} };

      This is a preliminary step for using different layouts for closure objects with
      and without computed names.

      This makes an ObjectVisitor as powerful as a StaticVisitor and allows

      This patch also renames VisitCell method of ObjectVisitor to
      VisitCellPointer, so that VisitCell is free to be used for actually
      visiting a cell.

      Decouple root visitors from object visitors. · e671ed36
      ulan authored
      This patch adds a new interface called RootVisitor and changes the root
      iteration functions to accept a RootVisitor instead of an ObjectVisitor.

      Future CLs will change ObjectVisitor to provide the host object to all
      visiting functions, which will bring it in sync with static visitors.

      Having separate visitors for roots and objects removes ambiguity in
      VisitPointers and reduces chances of forgetting to record slots.

      This is intended as pure refactoring. All places that require behavior
      change are marked with TODO and will addressed in future CLs.
