[compiler-dispatcher] Move to full SFI keying · 14097e62
      Leszek Swirski authored
Remove the concept of JobId from LazyCompileDispatcher, and make SFIs
the canonical id for these jobs.

      This has several consequences:

        * We no longer split enqueing a job and registering a SFI with that
job. We did this previously because we could not allocate SFIs in
the Parser -- now with LocalHeap we can, so we do.
        * We remove the separate Job vector, and make the SFI IdentityMap
hold pointers to Jobs directly. This requires a small amount of
extra care to deallocate Jobs when removing them from the map,
but it means not having to allocate new global handles for jobs.
        * The SFI is passed into the BackgroundCompileTask instead of the
script, so our task finalization doesn't need the SFI anymore.
        * We no longer need to iterate ParallelTasks after compiling (to
register SFIs), so we can get rid of ParallelTasks entirely and
access the dispatcher directly from the parser.

There are a few drive-bys since we're touching this code:

        * Jobs are move to have a "state" variable rather than a collection
          of bools, for stricter DCHECKing.
        * There's no longer a set of "currently running" jobs, since this
was only used to check if a job is running, we can instead inspect
          the job's state directly.
        * s/LazyCompilerDispatcher/LazyCompileDispatcher/g

[cleanup] Use @generateCppClass on more classes · 334b94e1
      Seth Brenith authored
Most Torque-defined extern classes already use @generateCppClass. As
Nico pointed out in [1], it would be nice to convert the remaining
classes and remove this option. This change converts most of those
remaining classes. I know that the future of Torque-defined classes is a
subject of some debate right now, but I think that it's worth doing a
few mechanical changes to reduce the existing variety of options.

Changes that don't exactly follow the usual pattern:
      1. BigIntBase, MutableBigInt: we can define these without a body, and
then Torque treats them as "really external" rather than "kind of
external, but with some Torque-generated parts".
      2. RegExpMatchInfo: moved its inline functions into a separate file,
which the generated -tq.cc file requires.

[build] Reduce size of inline header cycles · c26965bd
      Dan Elphick authored
This removes/replaces header includes with the aim of shrinking the
size of the inline header cycle. Specifically before this CL, there was
a single Strongly-Connected Component comprising 60 header files from
      src/objects and src/heap.

Now there are two 2 SCCs. The src/heap SCC has 6 files and depends on
the src/objects SCC, which has 50 files. Additionally some previously
      implicit dependencies have been added.

      Dependencies calculated using:
      git grep "#include \"" *.h *.cc | sed 's/:#include "/ /;s/".*$//' | \
      awk 'BEGIN {print "digraph deps {" } END {print "}"} {print "\""$1"\" -> \""$2"\""}'

SCCs found using sccmap from graphviz.

      Also removes unused Cell::FromValueAddress method.

[object] Make the interaction [String::Get()-access guard] explicit · a6207b54
      Santiago Aboy Solanes authored
We have recursive calls such ThinStrings where we go String::Get into
ThinString::Get into String::Get again for the internalized string. If
we need to, we would acquire the StringAccessGuard in the first
String::Get and it wouldn't be needed to be re-acquired for the second
String::Get. Trying to re-acquire it would in fact be an error since we
      are already holding the lock.

The code, however, didn't know if we acquired it or not. It was working
correctly due to the way the methods were defined and called. By passing
down the access guard through the Get() calls we make this interaction
      explicit.

Also add some thin string tests to test the interaction.

      [ptr-cage] Rename IsolateRoot to PtrComprCageBase · e28dadc2
      Shu-yu Guo authored
Currently, IsolateRoot is both the address of the Isolate root and the
base address of the pointer compression reservation. This CL teases the
two uses apart by renaming IsolateRoot to PtrComprCageBase.

      - In addition to V8_COMPRESS_POINTERS, add a
        V8_COMPRESS_POINTERS_IN_ISOLATE_CAGE (vs SHARED_CAGE).

      - Rename GetIsolate* helpers to GetPtrComprCageBase. When
V8_COMPRESS_POINTERS_IN_ISOLATE_CAGE is true, the helpers remain as
        aliases to GetPtrComprCageBase.

      - Rename kPtrComprIsolateRootAlignment to kPtrComprCageBaseAlignment.

Reland "[string] Fix non-SeqStrings in IsEqualTo" · 03f2f686
      Leszek Swirski authored
This is a reland of e70cbb83

Moved the ConsString comparison logic out-of-line, both to make gcc
happy, and to reduce the size of the fast-path in IsEqualToImpl.
