For many subclasses of JSObject, we used kSize instead of kHeaderSize even though they can contain in-object properties. In fact, kSize was very much used as the header size, as can be seen in many examples in this CL. This change is a preparation for a for a cleanup of how Torque generates field offsets. Context objects have an extension slot, which contains further additional data that depends on the type of the context. This CL removes the extension slot from contexts that don't need them, hence reducing memory. The following contexts will still have an extension slot: native, module, await, block and with contexts. See objects/contexts.h for what the slot is used for. The following contexts will not have an extension slot anymore (they were not used before): script, catch and builtin contexts. Eval and function contexts only have the extension slot if they contain a sloppy eval. Create canonical ScopeInfos for the global this binding and empty function in the read only space, rather than creating them during bootstrapping for each native context. This saves some memory, and also means we don't need to access the native context to get the global this binding in when deserializing a scope info, which is important since parsing should be native context independent. This adds a simple counter to Turbofan that's incremented throughout the compilation, hopefully frequently enough so we can use it to detect divergence and performance bugs. In addition, we assert that this counter never gets too high. That's the equivalent of a simple timeout, just more deterministic. The limitations on Turbofan input size should guarantee that we never exceed this limit. Since we probably do exceed it rarely, this check is only a DCHECK and intended to detect performance and divergence issues, but not supposed to be performed in release builds. In addition, this CL adds UMA stats to observe the real world distribution of the tick measurement. This CL was generated by an automatic clang AST rewriter using this matcher expression: callExpr( callee( cxxMethodDecl( hasName("operator->"), ofClass(isSameOrDerivedFrom("v8::internal::Object")) ) ), argumentCountIs(1) ) The "->" at the expression location was then rewritten to ".". There were four places where we did essentially the same steps in order to extract the initial map for inlining a JSCreate operation. This CL creates a function on NodeProperties for this task. As a side effect, this fixes a bug in ReduceJSCreateArray, where has_initial_map could get called when it wasn't permissible to do so. Notes: For simplicity, in one or two places where we used to get the target/newtarget constants from the types we now get them from HeapConstant nodes. Cosmetic change: rename "receiver_map" to the more accurate "root_map" in JSNativeContextSpecialization::ExtractReceiverMaps. - Add a new broker mode kRetired, in which the heap can again be accessed. - Change the way modes work. We now always start in kDisabled. If FLAG_concurrent_compiler_frontend is on, we eventually move to kSerializing, then to kSerialized, then to kRetired. - Add an ObjectDataKind to ObjectData that indicates whether the data is just a dummy (i.e. created while broker was in kDisabled mode). This also happens to fix a bug found by clusterfuzz. There are likely cleanups that can be done after this CL: - context-related functions in the interpreter and compiler take ScopeInfo as well as ScopeType and slot-count as input. The latter 2 should be directly derived from the former. We should be able to drop FunctionContextParameters. - ContextExtension is probably not needed anymore, since we now always have the correct scope_info directly in the SCOPE_INFO_INDEX slot. When inlining based on SharedFunctionInfo rather than based on concrete JSFunction, we weren't able to properly optimize array, object and regexp literals inside the inlinee, because we didn't know the concrete FeedbackVector for the inlinee inside JSCreateLowering. This was because JSCreateLowering wasn't properly updated after the literals moved to the FeedbackVector. Now with this CL we also have the VectorSlotPair on the literal creation operators, just like we do for property accesses and calls, and are thus able to always access the appropriate FeedbackVector and optimize the literal creation. The impact is illustrated by the micro-benchmark on the tracking bug, which goes from createEmptyArrayLiteral: 1846 ms. createShallowArrayLiteral: 1868 ms. createShallowObjectLiteral: 2246 ms. to createEmptyArrayLiteral: 1175 ms. createShallowArrayLiteral: 1187 ms. createShallowObjectLiteral: 1195 ms. with this CL, so up to 2x faster now. Drive-by-fix: Also remove the unused CreateEmptyObjectLiteral builtin and cleanup the names of the other builtins to be consistent with the names of the TurboFan operators and Ignition bytecodes. This correctly marks the {JSCreate} operator as potentially throwing, since it might trigger a property access of the 'prototype' property during instantiation. This is observable, can throw (not kNoThrow), might have side-effects (not kNoWrite), or even trigger a lazy deopt event (not kNoDeopt). The inlining logic has been adapted to wire up control projections accordingly. Note that this does not yet take care of the "after" frame-state which is associated with the {JSCreate} node introduced by the inliner. We still might re-evaluate the property access upon lazy deoptimization. They have the same lifetime. It's a match! Both structures are native context dependent and dealt with (creation, clearing, gathering feedback) at the same time. By treating the spaces used for literal boilerplates as feedback vector slots, we no longer have to keep track of the materialized literal count elsewhere. A follow-on CL removes even more parser infrastructure related to this count. BUG=v8:5456 Review-Url: https://codereview.chromium.org/2655853010 Cr-Commit-Position: refs/heads/master@{#42771}

This puts lowering of {JSCreateClosure} operations behind a flag.
