This change unifies the locals, stack, and globals objects exposed for WebAssembly frames via the Scope view and via DebugEvaluate to use the same underlying objects (implemented via interceptors). This also means that for locals and globals we now consistently expose names prefixed by a dollar symbol everywhere. Drive-by-fix: Move the debug::ScopeIterator implementation for WasmFrame into debug-wasm-support.cc, so WebAssembly scope details are all found in one place instead of scattered around the code. Drive-by-cleanup: Rename GetJSDebugProxy to GetWasmDebugProxy for consistency. GetJSDebugProxy is a bit misleading, since the debug proxy is not about JavaScript, but just exposed to JavaScript. Previously the implementation of the scope iterator objects and the debug proxy lived in src/wasm, and they are now being moved to src/debug, to better align with the JavaScript debugging interface, which also lives in src/debug. JavaScript scopes are reported from inner-most to outer-most, while previously we would report WebAssembly frames from outer-most to inner-most. This is quite confusing for developers, and also doesn't really make sense, so this CL fixes this inconsistency. Frames that have not been compiled by Liftoff for debugging are uninspectable. Instead of reporting an empty local scope and stack scope in this case, just don't report these two scopes at all. This also fixes a case missed in https://crrev.com/c/2196349, where we would still try to generate the stack scope for non-debugging code. Drive-by: Use {WasmFrame} instead of {StandardFrame} in the {DebugWasmScopeIterator}, and use the {FrameInspectionScope} consistently. This change adds a stack scope for wasm debugging. Currently the local scope contains both local variables as well as the expression stack. For now, this change duplicates the information available on stacks into the stack scope, until we have added support for the stack scope in the DevTools front-end. This implements inspection of live registers on breakpoints in Liftoff. To that end, the frame pointer of the WasmDebugBreak frame is remembered when iterating the stack. Based on a platform-specific implementation of {WasmDebugBreakFrameConstants}, the offset of the respective register within that frame is computed, and the value is read from the frame. As a drive-by, the wasm debug side table is storing register codes as liftoff codes, which can also store register pairs (needed for i64 on 32-bit platforms, and for SIMD, which is not supported yet). The ScopeIterator only requires accurate information for the whole script during local debug-evaluate, when the accurate scope information is used to build stack local blacklists. Otherwise it is enough to only reparse the closure. This should recover some performance during stepping, especially with large stacks and scripts. This CL moves us much closer to the point where we can remove debugger-script.js and usage of debugger context from inspector. There are three main parts left: - managing breakpoints, - inspecting stack and scopes (this CL), - LiveEdit. In this CL I moved all stack/scope inspection to native. As side effect running debugger and inspector tests are 10-20% faster (it's significant since not all of tests requesting break).
