Decouple root visitors from object visitors. · e671ed36
      ulan authored
This patch adds a new interface called RootVisitor and changes the root
iteration functions to accept a RootVisitor instead of an ObjectVisitor.

Future CLs will change ObjectVisitor to provide the host object to all
visiting functions, which will bring it in sync with static visitors.

Having separate visitors for roots and objects removes ambiguity in
VisitPointers and reduces chances of forgetting to record slots.

This is intended as pure refactoring. All places that require behavior
change are marked with TODO and will addressed in future CLs.

      Reason for revert:
I think that this CL breaks chromium compilation on windows with clang (). All other CLs in the list looks trivial and don't change test/unittest/BUILD.gn.

[ic] Inline LoadIC into LdaNamedProperty bytecode handler · 0bfabaf1
      jgruber authored
This inlines common LoadIC cases into the LdaNamedProperty bytecode
handler. Smi handlers resulting in constant/field loads for
monomorphic ICs omit frame construction. The same counts for the
polymorphic case as long as the target handler is in the first two
      vector slots.

Other cases (megamorphic, uninitialized) call the new
      LoadIC_Noninlined stub.

Local benchmarks show up to 6% improvement on Sunspider with --future.

[compiler] Collect eager inner functions for compilation during renumbering. · a3052cfe
      rmcilroy authored
This CL modifies the ast-numbering phase to collect function literals which
should be compiled eagerly. This is then used to eagerly compile the inner
functions before compiling the outer function. This will be used to queue
compilation jobs on the CompilerDispatcher in a later CL.

This CL moves the compilation of eager inner functions out of the
GetSharedFunctionInfo function and instead compiles them explicitly. This
simplifies GetSharedFunctionInfo and also means there is no need to pass a
LazyCompilationMode to the function, so this concept has been removed.

[Interpreter] Tune runtime profiler parameters for turbofan and OSR. · 46a1b34e
      mythria authored
Turbofan requires a different tuning when compared to crankshaft. Crankshaft
typically has faster compilation times when compared to turbofan. Hence,
added a new parameter, so that crankshaft and turbofan can be tuned
      independently.

OSRing too soon is not good for performance, especially for sunspider
benchmarks. Since they are really small functions and optimizing them is
more expensive than just executing unoptimized code. Tuning the code size
threshold of the functions that can be OSRed from ignition.
