... even with ptr-compr. Although full uintptr-sized TypedArrays are not supported yet we may already start using uint32-sized typed arrays as we no longer rely on TypedArray length to be a Smi. For each intrinsic/runtime function we define in runtime.h, an inline version is automatically declared. We only ever use 24 of the inline functions. Even though we don't call the other ones, macro magic means they still take up space by existing in various arrays and tables like kIntrinsicFunctions. They also create code in switch statements. Some drive-by cleanups: - Remove the switch in NameForRuntimeId() and just use the table of runtime functions to lookup the name directly. - Remove tests for IsFunction, ClassOf and StringAdd intrinsics as they are the last users of the inline versions of these. - Remove the MaxSmi inline version as it is only used in tests. Saves 64 KiB binary size. This splits all runtime function into 3 categories: 1) RUNTIME: implemented in runtime and called from both full and optimized code. 2) RUNTIME_HIDDEN: implemented in runtime, never called directly from JS builtins. 3) INLINE: inlined in both full and optimized code 4) INLINE_OPTIMIZED: inlined in optimized code, implemented in runtime for full code. Move all of the CPU detection logic to the CPU class, and make all other code use the CPU class for feature detection. This also fixes the ARM CPU feature detection logic, which was based on fragile string search in /proc/cpuinfo. Now we use ELF hwcaps if available, falling back to sane(!!) parsing of /proc/cpuinfo for CPU features. The ia32 and x64 code was also cleaned up to make it usable outside the assembler. Do not change environment between simulate and scope with no observable side-effects in HandlePropertyAssignment. LChunkBuilder reconstructs the environment by applying simulates. A scope with no observable side-effects has no simulates. If the scope deoptimizes, then LChunkBuilder would miss the changes to the environment between the last simulate and the scope. report the exception when they happen in the try block and not as previously when re-thrown after execution of the finally block. There is no longer any message generated by re-throw. Added test cases for various combinations of try/catch/finally with throw in different places. Added a regression directory to the messages tests which is processed by the test runner. Added regression tests for the specific bugs fixed. Runs all the test suites. In the shell sample don't print the result of executing a script, only evaluating expressions. Fixed issue when building samples on Windows using a shared V8 library. Added visibility option on Linux build which makes the generated library 18% smaller. Changed build system to accept multiple build modes in one build and generate seperate objects, libraries and executables for each mode. Removed deferred negation optimization (a * -b => -(a * b)) since this visibly changes operand conversion order. Improved parsing performance by introducing stack guard in preparsing. Without a stack guard preparsing always bails out with stack overflow. git-svn-id: http://v8.googlecode.com/svn/branches/bleeding_edge@16 ce2b1a6d-e550-0410-aec6-3dcde31c8c00
